Prof. Silvio Cruschina (University of Helsinki) addresses the topic of redundancy and defectiveness of agreement marking presenting the case of a doubly inflected periphrastic construction (e.g. vaju a mangiu ‘I go and eat/I’m going to eat’), and discussing the lack of agreement of the negative indefinite pronoun nuddu ‘nobody’, which semantically refers to the subject of the sentence but is morphologically invariant.
